This renovation addressed unresolved earthquake damage and long-term moisture issues in a hillside home. The scope included recladding, new roofing, resolving retaining and drainage problems, and upgrading an older direct-fixed cladding system to a compliant cavity system. Early investigation identified areas that required additional structural and compliance input, which we worked through proactively to ensure the finished home met current standards.
Renovations of this nature require flexibility and experience. We developed a structured programme and worked methodically through each compliance requirement while keeping the clients informed of progress and implications. The result was a complete transformation to a warm, dry, compliant, modernised home that resolved underlying issues rather than simply covering them up.
